Description
I've been itching to do this view ever since I managed to capture this knockout sunset view many years ago in a pretty decent reference photo. When the Queensboro Bridge opened in 1909 the architect, Henry Hornbostel, supposedly cried,"My God, it's a blacksmith's shop." But today engineer Gustav Lindenthal's spiky towers and intricate web of cantilevered steel are a cherished & indispensable symbol of the city itself.
