Some people don't care for pigeons ("doity, filthy, disgusting boids," a lady called them in "The Producers") but I think a little wildlife makes the urban scene all the more interesting. I've been thinking for years about trying to capture some of the pigeon action overhead, and I'm thinking now that this may be the first of a new series.

Peter Salwen's light-filled urban landscapes are in collections across the U.S., Europe and South America. Salwen's paintings, he says "try to express the deep pleasure to be found in something as simple as sunlight on a wall or the ordinary traffic of people and machinery at city street corner.
