Artist's Description

Another plein air watercolor from last summer's camping trip on the Cape. (Happily, the bus stop right across the road has a wide bench, perfectly positioned for visiting artists!) This recently renovated ~170-year-old general store, known for generations as "Dutra's Market," is a neighborhood favorite and a boon to nearby vacationers. According to local UFOlogists, it's also the spot where a young Air Force pilot, Bob Matthews, was briefly abducted by aliens in 1966.
