Coming back from a visit to Peggy's Aunt Belle on Staten Island one afternoon in the late '90s, I walked to the front of the Manhattan-bound ferry and was greeted with a picture-perfect view of lower Manhattan, gleaming across the harbor under a flood of golden summer sunlight. This piece is meant to recapture what felt like a truly glorious New York moment.
Peter Salwen's light-filled urban landscapes are in collections across the U.S., Europe and South America.
