Description
A few blocks north of City Hall, Duane Park was the first public space acquired by New York City specifically for a public park, in 1797, and named for James Duane, New York’s first mayor after the Revolutionary War. Staple Street is one of NYC's coolest and shortest (2 blocks) thoroughfares, named ([possibly) for the tons of basic goods and produce that passed through here from the nearby docks in the 17- and 1800s. Started on location last summer, finished in the studio.
